2025 Year in Review

By Bobby • February 10, 2026

That’s another awesome year of weddings in the books for us! One of our favorite things about doing this wedding photography thing for as long as we have is watching what things change and what things stay the same over time. When we started out back in the day the big trends were things like mason jars and money dances. Folks were getting down to “Gangnam Style.” Chowing down on chicken breast so dry it might be the last thing you ever eat was a common wedding dinner (some things never change). Over the years we’ve seen less and less traditional wedding signifiers like bouquet and garter tosses, to where they’re now a relic of the past.

Trends come and go, but one thing that never changes– the wedding day as a joyful celebration of two individuals choosing to share their lives together. An event that brings together friends and family to cut loose and feel something good in a world that often feels so dark that it blots out everything else.

2025 brought us another wonderful slate of diverse people with whom we relished the opportunity to create memories. From luxury resorts to off-roading deep in the mountains of West Virginia, we love how different our “office” looks every week. Cheers to all of our wonderful supporting cast of characters that made this job so fun in 2025, including but not limited to:

  • Party spider
  • Flower bros
  • Wedding crasher skunks
  • Glizzy bar
  • Archie the corgi and all those awesome dogs at our weddings
  • Bigfoot the Bengal cat and our other feline friends
  • Greenbrier espresso martinis and shotgun beers
  • Pokemon garters
  • Cows
  • Animal Crossing cake toppers
  • Dancefloor Santa Claus
  • Rogue ring bearers
  • Chicken and waffle mini cones from 1010 Bridge
  • Mr. Rogers’ wax statue watching you

Yes, all of these are featured in this post. It’s worth the (long) scroll.

Thank you to all the couples, their families, and our vendor friends that make this the best damn job around.

We’re on to 2026!
