Where do we begin with this bride and her Greenbrier Resort bridal portraits? Before Bobby and I were a team, I was shooting tons of senior portraits. Sara was one of my first senior clients.
After her senior photos, I shot family photos of her with her little sister and brother, and then Bobby and I both photographed her sister’s senior photos a few years later. And then we photographed her cousin’s daughter’s stylish senior photos. And then another cousin’s daughter’s dance portraits. That whole family is just so genuine and fun — a real joy to work with in every way.
But it all started with Sara.
We suggested the Greenbrier Resort for her bridal portraits because we just knew she and the Greenbrier would go together like PB&J. We love shooting bridal sessions at the Greenbrier because there’s a little something for everyone. Lush patterns, bold colors, amazing landscaping- the Dorothy Draper/Carleton Varney aesthetic creates the perfect backdrop.
Oh! Our photo of Sara on the red couch (with the painting above her) placed 4th in the Bridal Portrait category of the Fall 2016 ISPWP awards. We were one of only two American photographers to place in that category, which is super cool.
We’ll definitely be blogging Sara’s wedding photos at some point, but if you need more of this infectious smile, check out her Charleston, WV engagement photos!
