Nelson Farm is a something of a hidden gem among West Virginia wedding venues. This simple family farm is a great spot for an outdoor wedding, boasting an outstanding mountain view and a covered area in the event of inclement weather. Rain wasn’t a concern for this Nelson Farm WV wedding, so it was hard to tell where the happy tears ended and where the sweat began on this toasty afternoon.
We loved so many things about this wedding! Leigh and Mike kept their day headache-free with a small guest list and a laid back vibe. They got Fish Hawk Acres to come through with the killer taco bar and Ella & Company did a fantastic job with all the vintage decor for the reception.
After everyone ate their fill of tacos, we left Nelson Farm and made the trek up to Dolly Sods where Leigh and Mike shared Big Timber beers and cake. Going to Dolly Sods alone is a pretty awesome experience. Drinking beer and eating cake in your wedding attire with one of the best views in WV is some next level shit. That’s a flex.
