New River Gorge Wedding | Diana & Ian

If you’re looking for the most quintessentially West Virginia spot for your nuptials, you’d be remiss if you didn’t strongly consider a New River Gorge wedding. Is there any more iconic view in the whole state? Honestly, we’re surprised everyone doesn’t want to have their elopement or wedding in this location!

Diana and Ian had originally planned on doing a country club wedding, but the allure of a serene outdoor wedding overlooking the New River Gorge in Fayetteville was too strong to resist. They eventually decided on a quiet spot on the gorge known as Beauty Mountain. While there are a lot of great wedding venues in Fayetteville and the surrounding area, this is a perfect one for small weddings and elopements. The area has less foot traffic than Long Point Trail and Endless Wall while still retaining that requisite beautiful view of the gorge.

The couple got ready for their day at the always-lovely Lafayette Flats in downtown Fayetteville, WV. Diana and Ian had their wedding reception at their family home where they partied down with Bravo-Live DJ and ate tasty barbecue from Dem 2 Brothers.
