Our 2014 // Weddings

Last year brought with it an incredible variety of wedding days. An elopement in the wilderness, an elopement in the city. A big ole indian wedding that – we kid you not – ran ahead of schedule. A small gathering of loved ones under a bridge in Portland, Oregon; gorgeous local weddings at Edgewood, The Woman’s Club, & The Clay Center (and sort of localish at the wonderful Adventures on the Gorge in Fayette County).
We shot two brutally hot weddings on beaches last year- one in Key Largo, another on Jekyll Island in Georgia. An early morning wedding followed by brunch along the Ohio River, a timeless affair at the historic Greenbrier Resort, a Ritzy evening of glitter and glam at the Arcade in Cleveland. A classy evening in the heart of Boston at the Lenox. A perfect fall day in Wheeling at Oglebay. The list goes on and on.
But the real magic of these days wasn’t about where they took place. It was about who was there. It was about why they were there.
The magic of each of these days was about real emotions and all the moving parts that make a wedding day so memorable. A reluctant ring bearer getting a pep talk before walking down the aisle. A prepared groom pulling out a broom to sweep leaves off the sidewalk for his bride in the car. The flower girl getting dipped by the groom as the party rages on in the background.
We think this set does a great job of summarizing our 2014 wedding season. We are super grateful to all the couples & families who welcomed us into their lives to let us document something special.
Thank you for reading and looking. We are so excited for our 2015 wedding season to begin in April!
