Zenner House Wedding // Brittany & Sam

A couple of Ohio University alumni tied the knot at this beautiful Zenner House wedding in Athens, Ohio.
The Zenner House was built in 1929 by an architect who was known for building museums and libraries. This estate is one of the most gorgeous places in which we’ve ever had the pleasure of working. As far as we know, Brittany and Sam’s Zenner House wedding is one of only a few. Brittany and Sam are both Ohio University alumni and they definitely have a lot of school pride (check out their Athens, Ohio engagement session here). Side note: Emily is also an OU alum and she rides hard for her Bobcats.
And how’s this for an awesome surprise? Sam surprised Brittany by getting the OU Marching 110 Drumline to play them into the reception! This wedding was one to remember: a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and reception (complete with a very assertive bee getting friendly with Brittany during the ceremony), gin bucket shenanigans, donut tables and a confetti cannon to end the night with a bang.
These two were even cool enough to let us play around with lights for a portrait during the reception. The result is both the header and final image in this post– a chromatic ode to Italian giallo cinema and great filmmakers like Mario Bava and Dario Argento. Thanks for getting weird with us, guys.
