Boho WV Farm Wedding

We love it when people get married in places that are special to themselves or their family. Barbara Lee and Devin had their wedding at her family’s 350 acre farm in Lewisburg, West Virginia. This isn’t a ballroom or country club– this is a place with family history. A place where Barbara Lee’s family has worked, lived, laughed and loved. Everything here feels special; from quilts flapping in the wind on clotheslines to kids playing in tree houses and dogs napping in the shade. For its intimacy and simplicity this boho WV farm wedding is one our favorite weddings we’ve ever had the honor of photographing.
There are lots of little moments we still remember about this day: Barbara Lee and her bridesmaids helping her into that gorgeous Hayley Paige Blush halo dress while her mom looks at Barbara’s handmade gift. Devin brushing out his epic mustache in the mirror, Barbara’s bridesmaids watching from the porch during the first look. Another fun note: Barbara Lee’s sister Taylor caught the bouquet at this wedding and we’re shooting her wedding on this same farm in the near future! Weddings are about people and the moments they share, and this boho WV farm wedding had some of the best people we’ve met in this line of work.
As always, some shout-outs to the wonderful vendors who helped make this day happen:
- Greenbrier Cut Flowers for that gorgeous bouquet with the white orchid explosion
- Amy’s Cakes and Cones for the delightful confections
- The Poor Taters for the bluegrass jams
- Dutch Haus for all of that tasty barbecue
- Cheryl Sullivan for being a boss and giving us plenty of time for portraits
This wedding is featured in the current issue of WV Weddings magazine, so if you’re in/around the West Virginia area be sure to look for it on newsstands!
